Rocket
Hello there! My name is Rocket and if you’re looking for a mellow, older dog to accompany you on leisurely walks and then snooze on the couch after, I’m your guy! I walk very nicely on a leash and enjoy laying down to rest in the grass when the walk is over. I’m currently living in the shelter. I’d love to meet you!

Charlie
Charlie is an enthusiastic boy with a happy personality and plenty of charm. He may enjoy being part of daily activities and spending time around his people. Charlie is a good boy who brings a fun, upbeat energy wherever he goes. He would be a great match for someone looking for an active and cheerful companion. Charlie will only be rehomed as the only dog in his new family and will be most comfortable in a single family home as opposed to apartment life so he doesn’t have the pressure of encountering dogs at every turn.
Weight:70.4 lbs
Breed:Catahoula

Atlas
Atlas can be a bit reserved at first and may need time and patience to feel comfortable around new people, but once he settles in, his goofy and personable side shines. As a stray, shelter life has been stressful for Atlas, and he would do best in a calm home that lets him adjust at his own pace. With kindness and understanding, Atlas has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
Atlas may take a little time to get comfortable with new people, but once he’s out on a walk, he becomes eager, relaxed, and genuinely happy, trotting ahead with an easy confidence while still staying attentive to his handler. Volunteers describe him as a dog who warms up beautifully-once he’s had a moment to settle, he shows you his bright, engaged side and really enjoys being out and about. He will only be rehomed to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age.

Remi
Hi everyone. So glad for the chance to introduce myself. I’m Remi, a 10-year-old boxer mix, a seasoned gal who loves to hold down the rug. Work from home? Love that. Head to the office? No worries. As I said, the rug—and couch---are in good paws with me. The thing is, I’m a well-balanced lady. As much as I like relaxing, I adore a bit of play. Nothing rough, mind you, just bend and stretch, some light yoga, and bouncing around to sniff the town. Yard, walks, sidewalks, and parks...love it all. I’m an experiential sort, a method pup, you might say: I sniff, stop, notice the spring flowers, admire that bird chirping in the tree. I’m easily amused, you see, doesn’t take much for my butt to start wiggling (Boxer blood, I’m told.)
Love dogs, love cats, love kids…love life!! Any kind of playmate will do. Foster brother’s the best, and my foster friends are so wonderful. Just hoping to find that forever-and-ever playmate who also likes flowers, smiling, and napping in the sun.
As much as I’ll love you, I’m independent, too. Now and then, I ponder where I’ve been. I remember to thank my lucky stars for shining the way to Ho-Bo Care, where I finally found safety. Now, if it’s not too much to ask, I’d love to spend my glittering golden years with you.
What else, what else. I'm a woman of few words, but you'll always know I love you. A nuzzle, a belly rub (I'd rub yours if I could!) Some snuggle time before another walk to investigate the new buds on the tree, or the sudden snow on the hedges. Let's live our best lives together.

Raygun
I am very friendly but can be shy (all smiles and tail wags once we’ve met), mellow and well behaved, comfortable in a crate or lounging on dog-beds elsewhere in home, no accidents in the house, foster lets me free roam for short periods, enjoy exploring the yard, low energy with occasional short backyard sprints, low maintenance, not a fan of high energy play mates, ok at Vet, great on car rides.

Ranger
'Folks! It's me, Ranger.
I’m a 10-year-old Boxer type, upper upper middle aged? I’m quite in touch with my inner pup, you see. I still get carded in the adult dogfood aisle! Speaking of food, it’s third on my list. First, your love. That’s what I’m after. Once I steal your heart—.06 seconds is my record---I’m coming for your couch. I mean *our* couch. I do like my treats and take them ever so gently. Treats are new to my life experience, and I appreciate each and every offering. I'm housebroken... I would never offend our couch! I'm a little clumsy, I s'pose, so your taller, less 'wobbly' kids may be my best siblings.
You can teach an old(er) dog new tricks, ‘cause I recently learned how to use the dog door! Never had the opportunity to see myself out before. I’m a natural in the yard, they say, and I love them tennis balls and squeakies. I do a mean pony impression, too, trotting around to show off my toys. Other pups are fine by me: I nod a gentle hello on walks, or through fences. I also love to hike and run. Let’s explore the great outdoors! Sweet and spunky, you don’t get to be my age without staying in shape, my friend. Zoomies, power walks, then a sweet curl up on the sofa, right behind your knees. I've got all the feels you need.
I wear tan, white, and a little gray these days, looking back on my hopeful youth, when I thought I’d find you sooner. Now that you’re finally here, I’m ready to paint a new chapter. Red for my love, yellow for our happiness—any shade of couch will do.
Squeaking, snuggling, and zoomin’ for you,
Ranger

Nuala
This lovely senior girl has a little pep in her step and loves spending time playing and bonding with her humans. Sweet, polite, and friendly – that’s how our volunteers describe Nuala. She makes every outing feel easy and enjoyable.
In the play yard, she loves to stretch her legs and explore with her nose. On walks, she shifts into a calm, steady rhythm, staying attentive to her handler and checking in often. She sits politely for treats, too, showing off her gentle manners.
Nuala enjoyed a kitty friend in her previous home but will be required to be the only dog in her new home. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with a playful spark, Nuala might be your perfect match!
Good with cats.

Maggie
Greetings, kind person. Please call me Maggie, or even Maggie Mae (thanks, Rod Stewart. I truly feel seen.) Actually, call me whatever you like, but please, do call me! I’m a distinguished 8-year-old female, a mellow mix of Rottweiler/English Bulldog, and I’m looking for a place to lay my grey and white head. Stopped dying my fur long ago, you see. Now, as a “lady of a certain age,” I simply let my soul shine.
Love people, love dogs, love to finally find my one and only. I know you just met me, but I’d like to be your new best friend.
I’m gentle and grateful. Take treats like I can’t believe they’re for me, and I do enjoy my new foster brother. Perhaps you have fur and non-fur babies in your home? Nothing would make me happier.
In my past life, I was potty-trained, so I pride myself on preserving that tradition. They say I’m exceptionally sweet (*gosh*) and I’m quite easy to please. A little sun, some quality sniffs, and plenty of time to smile at others/take naps. If you’re looking for an amiable gal who just wants to be in your orbit, I daresay you’ve found me. Looking forward to making your acquaintance, hopefully for life.
With sincere hopes for happily ever after,
Maggie

Luna
Sadly, my dad passed away so I am looking for a new home to spend my retirement years. I am a very sweet girl with so much love to give. I do well with other dogs though I do need some time to adjust so slow intros are best for me.

Turtle

Peddy
15-year-old neutered male Pit Bull Terrier
Don’t let his age fool you; Peddy still has plenty of pep in his step! He loves treats, rides well on car trips and day outings, enjoys fetch, and is incredibly sweet and handsome. He still has energy and would thrive in a loving home.
Senior dogs do not belong in shelters. They deserve soft beds, comfort, and love for the rest of their lives. Both of these dogs still have so much life, joy, and companionship to offer.
Can assist with transport.

Dante
Dante is a sweet boy looking for love! He’s likely to be an easy keeper and will enjoy neighborhood walks and relaxing in front of the TV at night. Dante is a wiz and loves to show off his tricks in exchange a treat! Dante knows sit, down, shake and more! As Dante has matured, he is less tolerant of impolite dogs, so at this time, we will only rehome him to a family where he will be the only dog, and we recommend older or no children.

Salvy

Salvy does well with routine and is happy to be part of the action or relax nearby. He’s a good boy who’s ready to meet new friends and settle into a daily rhythm. Ole Lukoe
Ole Lukoe is a gorgeous husky, friendly, calm and even-tempered. He is charming, unique, and very pleasant to have around. He might take a day or two to warm up, but after a while he gets deeply attached. He is never a bother, might give you a quick kiss but doesn't jump on you. If he wants to be petted, he has a way of approaching you and sitting down, but looking the other direction :)) You just have to know him. Loves car rides. As a husky he cannot be off the leash in unfenced area - he will go explore on his own and will be gone. We ask for a yard with 6' fence and most importantly - a very caring owner. This dog has been to hell and back and needs a stable and safe environment.

Scooter
Meet Scooter! Scooter has done his time and, as a senior man, has now earned the right to his own personal space. Scooter is quiet, calm, and the perfect potty-trained couch potato! We liken Scooter to an old man sitting on his front porch, sipping his iced tea, and yelling at the neighbor kids to "stay off my lawn!" Scooter prefers to be the only dog in your life and doesn't like other dogs in his bubble, but at 10-years-old, we can't really blame him! He's earned the right to sleep his days away unbothered (we're actually quite jealous). Scooter needs a home with a yard to himself and a family that will respect his old-man wishes. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet senior, come meet Scooter!

Rocky
Rocky is very calm, sweet and seems to always be in a good mood, happy to join any activity or just be around. He has unique fuzzy heeler coloring, mostly silver wit a little bit of red. He is loving and dog friendly, wags his tail when meets a new dog. Loves to run and investigate outside, you can see joy and anticipation on his face. Was surrendered due to owner moving. Rocky would make a great companion to someone who prefers moderately active and mellow dog.

Norris
Calling all retirees! Looking for a best friend to spend your days with? Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple. He is a 9yr old, 65lb gentleman, with a heart of gold! He would love nothing more than to live out his golden years right by your side. Are you a routine kind of person? Then Norris is your guy! He is very routine driven and loves his breakfast at 0-seven-hundred and his leisurely morning walk right after (more sniffing than walking). He'll curl up right next to you on the couch for afternoon belly rubs and naps. He could snuggle all day (although he wouldn't turn down an afternoon walk) until dinner time and his evening stroll.
Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple that loves to walk. He LOVES walking and walks well on the leash most of the time. He is a strong guy, and sometimes pulls when he sees other dogs. He always checks in with you no matter what he is doing to make sure he is doing it right. He is an easy going guy that just wants to be loved. As an older guy he does not have much tolerance for kids, so no kids is a must. He would like a calm doggie sibling to show him the ropes and provide him comfort when his people are not home. He does not show interest in playing with other dogs, he just wants affection from his hoomans. He does great with his 55lb and 24lb foster dog siblings.
His story is sad, he was found abandoned in a house and had been there for quite some time without food. He came to the shelter 25lbs underweight. Because of being abandoned in a house, he does have some separation anxiety, which is totally understandable! He does ok if he has a calm doggy sibling to be left at home with, but he is most happy to be with his humans. He needs a patient, loving person who understands he has separation anxiety and is willing to help him build his confidence slowly. He loves and needs to have a set daily routine (this is good for his anxiety). Don't let these quirks lead you to overlooking this sweet boy, he truly is an amazing guy that just wants to be loved!

Tucker
Tucker, possibly an Irish Terrier mix, is an athletic guy, 45 pounds, who loves humans of all ages. He's goofy and smart (he has trained himself to open most doors!). He loves dressing up and posing! He was not socialized with dogs in his early years so will have to have a home without other dogs.
