Axel
Axel is a sweet boy with a big heart and an irresistible smile. He might enjoy playtime, relaxed walks, and being close to his favorite humans as he settles in. Axel can get a bit stressed when he’s left alone, so he may need some support, patience, and routine to help him feel comfortable.
Axel greets our volunteers with calm energy — they’ve told us he is an attentive walker who takes his time using his nose to explore the world around him, enjoying petting and taking treats gently.
Axel will only be rehomed to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. He may enjoy a multi-dog home and previously lived with a cat.

Dale
Meet Dale – a friendly gentleman who came to us as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery. This handsome older gentleman has the sweetest smile and is ready to show his new family how much love he has to give! Since arriving at the shelter, he’s shown a playful side, especially when tennis balls are involved. Dale has a gentle demeanor and seems to enjoy the quieter things in life – long naps, leisurely strolls, and taking it easy.
Dale has been described by our volunteers as a dog who likes to take his time on walks, is very treat motivated, especially if those treats are beef jerky.
He’d likely be a great fit for someone looking for a calm, easygoing companion with a touch of playfulness. Dale is recommended for a home without children.

Prince
Prince is a 50-pound tricolor hound mix. His date of birth is listed as June 15, 2015, making him a wonderful 10 ½ years old! He has lived his life with a single woman. He was not currently living with any other people or pets at the time of his relinquishment to the clinic - at least I do not think so. The family member who brought him in reported that Prince did snap at a child once when that child was caught tormenting him as Prince was chained up. The skin was not broken by the snap. That is the only incident that the family reported, and they reiterated that the child was at fault. When I took him outside for a walk and a photo shoot, he seemed anxious and concerned about his strange surroundings and a strange lady with a strange camera contraption stuck on her face. However, his tucked tail eventually began to unfurl, and he let both me and my husband pet him.

Cooper
Big, lovely Cooper was well-loved for all his 9 years and then his owner passed away. He's 80 pounds of happy Lab mix who gets on well with other dogs. He's being cared for by People and Animal Companions Together (PACT), which provides temporary foster care and house-call services for pet owners experiencing difficult life circumstances in Northern Colorado and Denver. Cooper is house-trained, healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, and good with other dogs.

Sully
They call him Sully Monster, and yeah.. he looks like he might ride a motorcycle and win bar fights, but stick around and you’ll get to know the real him - a strong silent type with a heart of gold. 48 lbs. mellow easy going…
He’s had a rough life until now and at 8 years old he’s seen some stuff. He prefers concrete to cushions, and doesn’t need fancy organic peanut butter or a plush designer bed. He’s low-maintenance, no-nonsense, and definitely not signing up for any agility classes. But here’s the plot twist: behind that brooding exterior is a gentle, loyal, quietly affectionate guy who just wants to chill by your side.
Sully doesn’t do drama. He’s not needy. He’s just here to be your silent protector and concrete co-pilot. Just a laid-back guy with a secretly mushy heart.

Ole Lukoe
Ole Lukoe is a gorgeous husky, friendly, calm and even-tempered. He is charming, unique, and very pleasant to have around. He might take a day or two to warm up, but after a while he gets deeply attached. He is never a bother, might give you a quick kiss but doesn't jump on you. If he wants to be petted, he has a way of approaching you and sitting down, but looking the other direction :)) You just have to know him. Loves car rides. As a husky he cannot be off the leash in unfenced area - he will go explore on his own and will be gone. We ask for a yard with 6' fence and most importantly - a very caring owner. This dog has been to hell and back and needs a stable and safe environment.

Scooter
Meet Scooter! Scooter has done his time and, as a senior man, has now earned the right to his own personal space. Scooter is quiet, calm, and the perfect potty-trained couch potato! We liken Scooter to an old man sitting on his front porch, sipping his iced tea, and yelling at the neighbor kids to "stay off my lawn!" Scooter prefers to be the only dog in your life and doesn't like other dogs in his bubble, but at 10-years-old, we can't really blame him! He's earned the right to sleep his days away unbothered (we're actually quite jealous). Scooter needs a home with a yard to himself and a family that will respect his old-man wishes. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet senior, come meet Scooter!

Lady
I’m Lady, a 9-10 year old female Boxer mix. I am so sweet I even smile in my sleep 😁. Good with male dogs and cats, Potty trained, quiet in the house, non destructive, major snuggler. Love ALL people from big men to small kids. Working on leash skills. Would fit equally well in a home with an energetic play partner or as your one and only.

Artica & Yoda
Artica & Yoda are probably Husky Mixes, around 60-65 pounds each. They have been bonded since they were puppies. They were adopted by their human as puppies, would sleep in bed with him, sit on the couch with him, and he would take them for at least two-mile walks every day. Unfortunately, their human passed away from cancer last year. These girls need to stay together! They have great dispositions, love all people and most dogs but cats not so much!

Robbie
Hi! I am Robbie, a highly intelligent, talented 12 year old purebred Border Collie. I have spent most of my life training, competing, and winning in the sport of agility and just hanging out too. I know all sorts of commands like sit, wait, down, right and left and lots of agility words. I just love running, playing, swimming, and learning anything new. I will also lay at your feet when you are at the computer or relaxing. I haven't met a cat ever so l don't know what I would think of cats, and kids aren't my thing. I have lived with other dogs, and they're OK, but I really love my person so much. Sometimes if people reach too quickly at me it makes me nervous. I have an old sports injury to my knee, but with gradual return to work we can do anything together! I am fully housebroken and crate trained and fluent with using a dog door. I would thrive with a person experienced with dogs. I ride nicely in the car. I am very handsome and just brimming with enthusiasm, athleticism, and intelligence and can't wait to meet you!

Rocky
Rocky is very calm, sweet and seems to always be in a good mood, happy to join any activity or just be around. He has unique fuzzy heeler coloring, mostly silver wit a little bit of red. He is loving and dog friendly, wags his tail when meets a new dog. Loves to run and investigate outside, you can see joy and anticipation on his face. Was surrendered due to owner moving. Rocky would make a great companion to someone who prefers moderately active and mellow dog.

Norris
Calling all retirees! Looking for a best friend to spend your days with? Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple. He is a 9yr old, 65lb gentleman, with a heart of gold! He would love nothing more than to live out his golden years right by your side. Are you a routine kind of person? Then Norris is your guy! He is very routine driven and loves his breakfast at 0-seven-hundred and his leisurely morning walk right after (more sniffing than walking). He'll curl up right next to you on the couch for afternoon belly rubs and naps. He could snuggle all day (although he wouldn't turn down an afternoon walk) until dinner time and his evening stroll.
Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple that loves to walk. He LOVES walking and walks well on the leash most of the time. He is a strong guy, and sometimes pulls when he sees other dogs. He always checks in with you no matter what he is doing to make sure he is doing it right. He is an easy going guy that just wants to be loved. As an older guy he does not have much tolerance for kids, so no kids is a must. He would like a calm doggie sibling to show him the ropes and provide him comfort when his people are not home. He does not show interest in playing with other dogs, he just wants affection from his hoomans. He does great with his 55lb and 24lb foster dog siblings.
His story is sad, he was found abandoned in a house and had been there for quite some time without food. He came to the shelter 25lbs underweight. Because of being abandoned in a house, he does have some separation anxiety, which is totally understandable! He does ok if he has a calm doggy sibling to be left at home with, but he is most happy to be with his humans. He needs a patient, loving person who understands he has separation anxiety and is willing to help him build his confidence slowly. He loves and needs to have a set daily routine (this is good for his anxiety). Don't let these quirks lead you to overlooking this sweet boy, he truly is an amazing guy that just wants to be loved!

Tucker
Tucker, possibly an Irish Terrier mix, is an athletic guy, 45 pounds, who loves humans of all ages. He's goofy and smart (he has trained himself to open most doors!). He loves dressing up and posing! He was not socialized with dogs in his early years so will have to have a home without other dogs.
