Stormy
Stormy is a lovely old gal, intelligent, interactive and still quite spry. She likes to fetch, play tug, and LOVES to play in the sprinkler or water at end of the hose if you are carrying one. Stormy is house- and crate-trained, has great recall, knows commands (sit, come/whistle, go to your bed, in, out, and wait). She walks well on leash and likes to ride in the car. This sweet old gal lost her 'Dad' without warning due to his stroke, hospitalization and now nursing care.
Stormy is a bit pudgy and weighs 52 pounds. She is spayed, dewormed, on heartworm prevention, and vaccinated.
She is good with other dogs, will chase an occasional rabbit, will wait at the open barn door in full view of chickens and has also come into the barn with the chickens all around her without incident. She goes to the barn with me every trip, lays in her bed in the living room in the evening, sleeps in a crate at night and otherwise has free run of the area around the house. If I go to town, she is indoors and/or crated.

Millie is a gentle older dog who moves at her own pace and appreciates a calm, quiet home. She’s still getting used to new surroundings and will need someone patient and understanding as she settles in. Once she feels safe, her personality begins to shine through. Sampson
Sampson is a Golden Nugget! Sometimes the best things take time to find- he can’t wait to dazzle you! Sampson takes his time to warm up to new environments and people. Allowing him time to rest and familiarize himself with his new home at his pace is going to help him feel most comfortable. Once this cutie is settled, he loves butt pats, snow, hiking, and running with his family! Sampson has lived successfully with cats in his foster home. Sampson has benefited from the presence of other canines, so he’s recommended for a multi-dog home. He’s recommended for a home without young children at this time.

Sully
They call him Sully Monster, and yeah.. he looks like he might ride a motorcycle and win bar fights, but stick around and you’ll get to know the real him - a strong silent type with a heart of gold. 48 lbs. mellow easy going…
He’s had a rough life until now and at 8 years old he’s seen some stuff. He prefers concrete to cushions, and doesn’t need fancy organic peanut butter or a plush designer bed. He’s low-maintenance, no-nonsense, and definitely not signing up for any agility classes. But here’s the plot twist: behind that brooding exterior is a gentle, loyal, quietly affectionate guy who just wants to chill by your side.
Sully doesn’t do drama. He’s not needy. He’s just here to be your silent protector and concrete co-pilot. Just a laid-back guy with a secretly mushy heart.

Rex
Meet Rex, a lovable friend! He’s mellow, preferring a laid-back lifestyle where he can simply enjoy the company of his human companions and maybe another dog. He can be insecure when experiencing new people and places, but with a little time to warm up, he shows his affectionate side and is always ready to give a soft nudge or a gentle wag of his tail.
We think that Rex will appreciate a soft and calm approach as he gets to know you. Our volunteers have described him as a bit hesitant when he first meets them for walks but after a few minutes he walks very well without pulling, becomes affectionate and enjoys pets, belly rubs and massages.
Adopt Rex, and let his sweetness brighten your life.

Ole Lukoe
Ole Lukoe is a gorgeous husky, friendly, calm and even-tempered. He is charming, unique, and very pleasant to have around. He might take a day or two to warm up, but after a while he gets deeply attached. He is never a bother, might give you a quick kiss but doesn't jump on you. If he wants to be petted, he has a way of approaching you and sitting down, but looking the other direction :)) You just have to know him. Loves car rides. As a husky he cannot be off the leash in unfenced area - he will go explore on his own and will be gone. We ask for a yard with 6' fence and most importantly - a very caring owner. This dog has been to hell and back and needs a stable and safe environment.

Scooter
Meet Scooter! Scooter has done his time and, as a senior man, has now earned the right to his own personal space. Scooter is quiet, calm, and the perfect potty-trained couch potato! We liken Scooter to an old man sitting on his front porch, sipping his iced tea, and yelling at the neighbor kids to "stay off my lawn!" Scooter prefers to be the only dog in your life and doesn't like other dogs in his bubble, but at 10-years-old, we can't really blame him! He's earned the right to sleep his days away unbothered (we're actually quite jealous). Scooter needs a home with a yard to himself and a family that will respect his old-man wishes. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet senior, come meet Scooter!

Burt
I’m Burt, an 8 year old male Boxer mix. I am very sweet, good with other dogs, can be a bit quiet, TINY and adorable, with the most boop-able nose.
My foster says: Burt’s such a good little guy; sweet, lovable, and quiet. He just wants love. He does super well in his crate, loves playing and loves our male dog, doesn't bark or chew. He’ll admire his reflection in a mirror, says it's not easy being this cute! I’d bet his ears make up 30 percent of his 32 pounds!

Delia
I’m Delia, an 8 year old female Boxer. I'm a brindle beauty, enjoy pup cups and if I’m feeling fancy will prance down the street proud as a pony to show off my “white socks”, chill, potty trained, not destructive, will inspect the yard for squirrels, so cute and cuddly, charmed the UPS guy (gotta love a guy in uniform), I rock the socks off that hat and sweater set, love massages, very affectionate with my humans, and give great hugs.

Lucky Charm
I’m Lucky Charm, a 9 year old male Boxer mix. I am good with other dogs and kids, steal everyone’s spot on the couch (dog or human), love snuggle time and belly rubs, like watching the world go by out the window, great in crate and can free roam (not destructive).
My foster adds: Lucky Charm is such a happy boy: happy in the backyard, happy to stay inside, happy with dogs, happy without dogs, happy getting undivided attention, happy to share attention, happy in his crate, happy to free roam, happy eating kibble, happy eating wet, happy waking up, happy going to bed. He does great meeting people, and really loves our small and medium sized dogs (follows them around the yard!)

Artica & Yoda
Artica & Yoda are probably Husky Mixes, around 60-65 pounds each. They have been bonded since they were puppies. They were adopted by their human as puppies, would sleep in bed with him, sit on the couch with him, and he would take them for at least two-mile walks every day. Unfortunately, their human passed away from cancer last year. These girls need to stay together! They have great dispositions, love all people and most dogs but cats not so much!

Robbie
Hi! I am Robbie, a highly intelligent, talented 12 year old purebred Border Collie. I have spent most of my life training, competing, and winning in the sport of agility and just hanging out too. I know all sorts of commands like sit, wait, down, right and left and lots of agility words. I just love running, playing, swimming, and learning anything new. I will also lay at your feet when you are at the computer or relaxing. I haven't met a cat ever so l don't know what I would think of cats, and kids aren't my thing. I have lived with other dogs, and they're OK, but I really love my person so much. Sometimes if people reach too quickly at me it makes me nervous. I have an old sports injury to my knee, but with gradual return to work we can do anything together! I am fully housebroken and crate trained and fluent with using a dog door. I would thrive with a person experienced with dogs. I ride nicely in the car. I am very handsome and just brimming with enthusiasm, athleticism, and intelligence and can't wait to meet you!

Gilbert
Neutered Male, Shepherd Mix, 67lbs. **Heartworm positive**
Gilbert's face and body tell a hard knock story, but despite the scars he's still a happy boy who loves walks and cuddles. Gilbert would love to spend his twilight years in a home with a big fluffy bed, neighborhood strolls, and an endless supply of treats.... which he takes with a very gentle mouth! He is house, crate and leash trained. Loves all people and has even made an appearance on the KOB4 local news, where he ate it all up! He can be a little anxious in the car, but his fosters are currently working on this. From our experience, we think he may have a little leash reactivity from having to protect himself in the past, but with recent dog tests he has done great. His fosters have now nicknamed him "Birdie" due to the little chirps he makes when he wants something; full of personality this guy is so ready for his new home.

Tracy
Tracy is sweet, calm and gentle. Tracy is all kisses and She lost their beloved owner and his house was getting sold. At first she was lonely and confused, but adjusted very quickly. Good with dogs, easy to take care of. She is pleasant to a have around, never a nuisance, but she makes even chores a little bit more fun. She can be adopted with Lucia or seperately. Norris
Calling all retirees! Looking for a best friend to spend your days with? Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple. He is a 9yr old, 65lb gentleman, with a heart of gold! He would love nothing more than to live out his golden years right by your side. Are you a routine kind of person? Then Norris is your guy! He is very routine driven and loves his breakfast at 0-seven-hundred and his leisurely morning walk right after (more sniffing than walking). He'll curl up right next to you on the couch for afternoon belly rubs and naps. He could snuggle all day (although he wouldn't turn down an afternoon walk) until dinner time and his evening stroll.
Norris ideal home would be with a retired couple that loves to walk. He LOVES walking and walks well on the leash most of the time. He is a strong guy, and sometimes pulls when he sees other dogs. He always checks in with you no matter what he is doing to make sure he is doing it right. He is an easy going guy that just wants to be loved. As an older guy he does not have much tolerance for kids, so no kids is a must. He would like a calm doggie sibling to show him the ropes and provide him comfort when his people are not home. He does not show interest in playing with other dogs, he just wants affection from his hoomans. He does great with his 55lb and 24lb foster dog siblings.
His story is sad, he was found abandoned in a house and had been there for quite some time without food. He came to the shelter 25lbs underweight. Because of being abandoned in a house, he does have some separation anxiety, which is totally understandable! He does ok if he has a calm doggy sibling to be left at home with, but he is most happy to be with his humans. He needs a patient, loving person who understands he has separation anxiety and is willing to help him build his confidence slowly. He loves and needs to have a set daily routine (this is good for his anxiety). Don't let these quirks lead you to overlooking this sweet boy, he truly is an amazing guy that just wants to be loved!

Tucker
Tucker, possibly an Irish Terrier mix, is an athletic guy, 45 pounds, who loves humans of all ages. He's goofy and smart (he has trained himself to open most doors!). He loves dressing up and posing! He was not socialized with dogs in his early years so will have to have a home without other dogs.
