A trusting, loving soul even after having been dumped at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in October 2023, Tess, a flat-coated retriever, instantly made friends with all the residents of The Old Mutt Hut. In her previous home she had probably been kept crated for excessive periods of time and not given access to water much of the time, as the person who left her at the shelter complained she was urinating too much. Within two or three weeks of moving into The Hut she understood that she no longer had to over-drink to survive, and that she would always get to go out when she needed to, and the urination issue disappeared. Long walks and mornings on the back deck are her favorite things.
